Hello, my name is Sarah. I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor & Supervisor working in the Nottingham area.

It is often said that choosing to seek help and support through counselling is the hardest step.

I agree, and would say it is the bravest decision, often made at the most difficult of times.

I believe the Counselling room should be a place where you can discuss the issues of greatest importance to you, in confidence and without fear of judgement.

I am passionate about the work a client and I do. Believing the therapeutic relationship is the fundamental ingredient in gaining insight, understanding and ultimately change.

Therapy

I offer a flexible session format, working in person, or remotely via video call or telephone. I also offer a hybrid approach to best accommodate the needs of my clients.

This approach allows me to work consistently with clients anywhere in the UK.

SUPERVISION

I am a qualified Supervisor, having gained a Diploma in Supervision from the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham (2022).

I have experience of working with student therapists, newly qualified and experienced practitioners.

I offer one to one supervision, in person, or online. I also have considerable experience of facilitating supervision in groups of up to five people.

My approach is relational, and I see the role of supervision in our practice as fundamental to providing quality psychotherapy to our clients, whilst paying close attention to our own development and well-being.

I believe I offer a safe space, with the focus on learning through curiosity and exploration, whilst providing guidance and advice when required.

NEURODIVERSITY

I have experience of and an interest in working with clients who identify as neurodiverse. I offer an affirming therapeutic experience and endeavour to make any adjustments to sessions that improve access to therapy. These adjustments include length of sessions, session timings, frequency, and the environment we work in.

GENDER, SEX AND RELATIONALLY DIVERSE (GSRD)

I have considerable experience of working with clients from the LGBTQIA+ community.

I believe I offer a safe, affirming space to explore how factors surrounding these fundamental aspects of identity impact our whole self, our development, and our experience of the world around us.
